Transition Check-Out

When you pick up your Sting or Sirius LSA, we provide the following at no additional cost:

• Systems & maintenance training specific to your aircraft, conducted by our A&P.

• Ground school specific to your aircraft, conducted by our CFI.

• Transition flight check-out in your aircraft, conducted by our CFI.

• BFR included with your transition check-out.

Five hours of flight training are included, and additional hours are available at the CFI's hourly rate, so bring a spouse, friend, partner or your CFI and we will check them out too.

  • Carbon fiber composite special light sport aircraft (SLSA)
  • GRS ballistic aircraft recovery system (whole-plane parachute).
  • Excellent visibility, tinted canopies. The Sting has a large, 360º tinted canopy with canopy lock, roll bar.
  • Engine: Rotax 912ULS (100hp) four cylinder, four stroke, with stainless steel exhaust system and Rotax slipper clutch.
    • Full time carburetor body heat with no power degradation.
    • Oil cooler with bypass thermostat.
    • Auxiliary electric fuel pump.
    • Hobbs meter.
  • Propeller: 3 blade, ground-adjustable carbon fiber composite propeller.

The panel shown at right features a standard TruTrak EFIS with optional integrated AutoPilot and Straight|Level system on the pilot side, a GRT Horizon EFIS with synthetic vision on the co-pilot side, and a Garmin SL30 Nav/Com radio in the stack. The backup T&B has been upgraded to the TruTrak ADI attitude direction indicator. The balance of the equipment shown here is standard. Other available options include:
